A new guy that bought a used diesel...and loves it.

Hello,

Well I just stopped by for some info and inspiration. I bought a 97 F250 w 170K on it in June to tow my toy hauler. My 95 F150 with the 4.9 wasn't up the task, and was sold. I went with an older Diesel to save some money and because I have a place in the old heart for that body style.

I've ended up wanting to spend more money on the truck now than on the bikes I bought it to tow. I am only the second owner and the truck is truely stock and really clean. I plan on a few mods to help with gas mileage and towing capabilities. I hope to make the ride a little smoother and get rid of the stock exaust. Looking forward to looking around.

Welcome to the site and congrats on moving to the dark side lol. Those 97's sure are nice trucks, and from what I been seeing you can get quite a bit of power from them too. We can easily help you out with your new found diesel addiction and spending money on your truck.

Heh heh - "the first one is free," as they say in some circles. I've heard from many that 97 was a great year for the Powerstroke. And I love the old body style too.

Welcome!

Thanks,

I really dig the new superduties but the longer I drive my 97 the more I love it. After having a couple muscle cars and riding bikes for a while I never would have thought these bad boys had so much potential.
