Hello Everybody!!
I am new to the site So Hello again. I have a 1999.5 F-350 7.3, a 2002 F-250 7.3, a 2005 6.0, and a 2008 F-450. I love all my trucks but was wondering if anyone was having the trouble I have hade with there 6.0 . So far ford is after doing over 100,000.00 in warrenty work. the last time it went in it was gone for 134 days, for them to find the crank sensor seperated. I have six EGR cooler replacements, turbo replacement, Complete motor replacement, Head gaskets, oil pumps, fuel pumps, injectors, you name it it has been replaced.

But I will stand behind my old 99 7.3. I have over 625,000.kms on her and only replaced one injector and trans. That impresses me since I tear the guts out of everything I drive. For example we own a grocery distribution center, and last week we had a large snow storm here on the rock (Newfoundland) and I towed a tractor trailer load of water up a hill and out of the ditch back onto the road with my 05 6.0, four low and a little pluck and she came. Only to break a front side axle the next day plowing snow??? haha

No matter how much trouble my 6.0 gives me I will always love a FORD Truck. My 6.4 seems to be a really nice combo though. only I would like to know what would be a nice gear set for it??? I use the truck for hauling my 28' race trailer and car so it is most hiway going. and do any one know if this will help fuel consumption.

Have anyone used the sct chip yet. Just wondering what a chip will do for my 6.4. and what is the best to go with? and can someone please tell me what type of rear axle my 450 has!!! the only thing my local dealer can tell me is that it has 4:88 gears.....Is it a Dana s110???

Thanks Everyone
Have a Good One!!!!!!!

Welcome to site first. I own F-450 with 4.3 rear end and doesn't mater which rear end you have they both don't do well on mpg's and also think that 4.88 get worse mpg's than the 4.3 would. It well pull small house with ease.
