New Member questions

Just found this site and find it REALLY helpful and will probably use it quite a bit over the coming years!
I have a question about viewing a link that someone posted on an issue same as mine. Seems that I do not have any permissions yet? Any help would be great.

1997 FORD F350 CREW 8' 100K

Thanks

Ben

Welcome to TDS Ben,the only time I see a message like Forbidden,or you do not have permission to view,is when the thread or post has been zapped by the Moderators. Or if it's a link to another website,it may be that the other site will not let you view it without joining,Just a WAG on my part.

Hey, thanks for the return on my previous message.
? I just purchased a 1997 Ford F-350 CREW, 7.3 diesel, 100K, Showroom clean!
Have you experienced issues with a chugging at certain speeds? Seems almost like a shift issue? Could be at 50 mph - 60 mph.
Also seems a bit doggy. Not in a trouble way, just a stock kinda way. Would you think a chip would be a good start or if I do a chip do you think I HAVE to do exhaust and air cleaner to get the benefit of the chip?
Thanks again and I'll check back soon.

The air cleaner is a big plus and a downpipe would be even better with the air cleaner. I suggest TYMAR and Dale will help you with both products
Future Home of Tymar Performance Just call him up and he will help you

I would suggest chainging fuel filter and clean the FPR screen as that could be clogged shut. Also change the engine oil if dirty as that affects the injector performance as these injectors run on High pressure oil from engine.

A chip makes a huge improvement but I would do the importent things first as I mentioned.
Also welcom to the site and just ask as we will help out
Jim
