P.M problems......

For some reason I can't start a new thread, I just tried sending a P.M & got the following error "Please complete both the subject & message fields" The subject field was filled out,the only message field I see is one where no info can be added. Is anyone else having this problem? Or have I forgotten how to send a P.M?

How are you trying to send a PM? The only way I've done it on the new system is by clicking on a member's name or replying.

I'll try to help, but I'm kind of a babe in the woods with this new software too. And I'm learning the moderator stuff along with the regular stuff.

on edit; Just found the "send new PM" button, and tried to duplicate your error message. I did get it when I left the body and recipient empty, but once I filled something in on all of the boxes, it went somewhere. (You should have gotten my test message, feel free to delete it.)

The only thing I can suggest is logging out and logging back in again.

If that doesn't work, an Admin (or at least someone who knows more than me) will need to help.

Rob -

Kill your browser, then go into internet options and delete all cookies and temporary internet files. Then reboot your computer. Fire up the browser and log into TheDieselStop.

That usually fixes any unexplained problems for me.

Of course that means that you'll have to log onto every website you visit, but that's part of the cost of PC maintenance with a Windows system.

Rob, Yes I got your PM reply before my previous post in this thread (sorry, forgot to mention it). Strange that you can reply, but can't start new PM or new threads. Definitely an Admin thing at this point. There may be something strange in your account that only an Admin can fix (or recognize - ).
