I'm interested in purchasing a tuner & from what i'm reading around here, everyone seems to like your products the best.
I have a 99 7.3 F350 SD CREWCAB 4X4 LB with a 149,000 miles. I'm new to diesel motor chips/tuners so im not sure how to approach this.
I really dont do any heavy towing other than some dirt bikes, quads, boat & maybe a couple other small things. I do plan on getting a toy hauler at some point in time. I will use it to 4x4 every now & then & of course for play sometimes.
Ive read here that the tuner can be setup to have different positions/settings depending on what your using it for along with an in dash quick setting?
Any help would be great, I'm looking to get one here with a week or so.

99PSDF350,
Hi there, being new to diesels the first and best advice I can give you is get a set of aftermarket gauges. It is the cheapest insurance you can buy when adding a chip or programmer. Reason is that when asking for extra fuel you add extra heat. The only way to monitor this is with an EGT gauge. I recommend an EGT, boost and trans temp gauge if are an auto. Those are the 3 basics to get you started. I would go ahead and get a tow tune. They are setup purposely for towing.
If I were you, I would get..
No start-no charge
Stock-no charge
60 or 80 tow
80 Econo
120 Race
Anything else like valet or Hi-idle is up to you and merely preference.
Thanks,
Diane

Thanks for the reply. Something like that would be great, although im not to sure what the no-start is for? unless used as a anti theft mech?
What is valet & the purpose behind high idle? I understand the purpose behind high idle unless it means something different with a diesel motor.
Also, how much is something like this going to run? sorry for all the questions, just wanting to understand it all.
Thanks again,
No-start- used as a theft deterrent.
Valet- set speed limiter to your liking.
Hi-idle- very versitale. Used for long periods of sitting at idle. Helps to prevent wet stacking in the cylinder walls. Helps to keep the air running cooler in the summer and faster warm ups in the winter. It is highly advised to always start the truck up in stock first then switch to this program.
For pricing you can find that information on our website or give us a call.
Thanks,
Diane
