Finally installed DP - Diesel Forum

I just finished installing one of your chips that I purchased from someone on TDS. I made myself wait until I installed a QUADZILLA XZT RECON monitor before installing to keep from tearing up my truck. I only took it around the block...well all I can say is WOW.

I will be making a short run to the nascar races in Dallas and I am looking forward to driving my truck.

Just one question, on the reciept it says"All programs setup with downshfting"
What does this mean?

Well It has been four months since I installed the chip, and all I can say is this is the best thing I have done to the truck. I went the races in Dallas and my buddy who rode with me was equally impressed. I have also been on vacation to Hot Springs Ark. and pulled my 27' camper up to Lake Ouachita. We stayed for about a week. Truck did fantastic, my camper tried to come apart on me just outside of Texarkana. Corner trim piece came loose and the side panel was bowing out going down the road. Anyway I averaged about 13 mpg on that trip. I would tell you that my milage has improve around town, but I have also fallen victim to the urge to play. I try to drive like there is an egg between my foot and the go pedal, but some times I hard boil it and get scrambled eggs. Bottom line-If you don't have one, get one!

I am in the same boat - I had only had my van for about 2 weeks when I ordered my DP Tuner.... I love it - It makes the van work the way it was designed to work - Before they de-tuned it at the factory..... I know that the van pulls like an SOB - and knowing that is enough for me - So I really enjoy the added MPG.....
