Other than a DP-TUNER, my 7.3 is completely stock from the paper air filters to the factory muffler. I rented the Dyno at NexGen in Hayward, CA for an hour and ran through all of my 8 settings twice giving 2 minute idling breaks in between. I was stunned. In my 80-tow high altitude, at the wheels my van gained 190 lb/ft of torque and 105 hp! These chips are absolutely unbelievable. I can't wait to dyno it again with my 4" exhaust and intake in a few weeks.

Can you post your stock numbers, and the numbers with each of the tunes? I'd love to see the gains.
Oh I guess so.
Stock:
325lb/ft
175hp
20tow:
415lb/ft
225hp
60tow-alt:
475lb/ft
250hp
80tow-alt:
515lb/ft
280hp
80econo:
470lb/ft
265hp
120race:
500lb/ft
280hp
These are very close estimates within only 3 units of error simply because I had to eyeball the dyno chart. I'm running a Mac and the dyno software you need to view the files only supports PC; I had to use my brothers computer to see them. I know somewhere within the files there is a way to view max HP and Torque achieved but I'll have to fiddle around with it more later.
The owner of the shop explained to me that these numbers are lower than the actual output since there was no load on the dyno and a load is exactly what a turbo engine needs to build boost. I believe he said that load was an option but, it'd take a while to calibrate correctly. This was my first time ever being around a dyno and there were a few things he talked about that I didn't understand such as the different units of measurements like SAE and something else. So long story short, with a time budget of one hour and a bundle of runs ahead of us(2 per setting), I just told him to run the dyno and get some numbers. All the sets of pulls were extremely consistent.
For example with the load, there's a significant difference between 80tow and 120race when driving. 80tow is a jammin setting but, after a second of holding the brakes at a dead stop while giving some throttle to get boost up, I can't even get my van to hook up in the 120 setting! It just smokes the tires! And remember Jody calibrated this chip for an aftermarket 4" intake and exhaust. You can only imagine what his chip will do once I meet my requirements in the next few weeks and ditch the paper air filters, intake resonator and the choked exhaust.
I'll be posting the charts soon.

Hi everyone. I am a nuub to the forum, but not to diesel's. I am glad to see that I am not the only one who thinks the E350 7.3 needs more power. I want to purchase this same tuner, but with the 6th setting as the 140hp. Without a larger downpipe, exhaust, and intake could this potentially be dangerous to my engine, and the turbo. I use the van to tow about 8500 pounds of equipment sometimes up to 12000. Its a bit much but the 7.3 is a champ. I like to play as well. That is also part of the reason why I want to upgrade from the stock underpowered tune. If anyone feels that I am hijacking this thread I am sorry. Just want to know if this tuner is too good to be true.
