Would the 80 Econo Setting be Right for Me?

Hello, I am considering getting a chip for my '02 F250 and was wondering if I'd see any improvement in MPG from the 80 Econo setting. I'll explain my daily driving habits. So, my top speed is usually no higher than 55-60mph and I usually maintain that speed with the cruise set for typically 15 miles give or take a few. Then I have several miles of city driving. Along with all of this I am VERY light on the throttle while accelerating....I typically keep my rpms below 2000, boost below 5 psi and my egt's below 600 degrees while driving. I am squeezing 18mpg out of my truck right with the few mods I have listed in my sig below. How much improvement do you think I'd see from the Econo setting?

Also, I've heard that the '02s usually experience "shift flare" from a chip...what is that exactly and should I be worried about it?

I'd probably opt for a tow setting as well since I do tow occasionally, and usually no more than 8000-9000 pounds...which setting would you recommend for that?

Thanks in advance!

The Econo tune is what you need for Daily Driving running empty. We do have 2, one for highway and one for in town driving (frequent stop and go traffic). We are in the process of updating our website and will have this tune listed on our new website. Please call us to place your order if you want the in town econo or make a foot note in the comments box on the website when you place your order.

What was your old econo best for? City or highway?
