Engine Boot Kit availability?

Bob,

Was just at your site looking at intercooler and engine boot kits for 99.5 & up 7.3L. Saw that the engine boot kit was out of stock with a notation of "after 12/1/08". Any idea when they'll be available?

Looking for a Christmas present for my truck.

Thanks
Kevin

Just received the engine boot kit and intercooler boots from Dieselsite today. Looking forward to getting them on the truck tomorrow and getting rid of the grime......and hopefully gaining just a bit in performance without any boost leaks in the boots.

Thanks Bob!

Just an FYI.......Ford wanted more for their stock boot replacements than Dieselsite for aftermarket ones.

Just installed them. If I could make a recommendation........it would really make installation MUCH easier if the intercooler boots were the same length as the stock size. I fought and fought with the driver's side pipe trying to get both ends attached at the same time. It's a real bear with the boots quite a bit longer than stock. Top side engine boots are longer as well. I had to cut back my insulation on both ends to eventually get the driver's side pipe on......after getting tears and cuts in the ends of the boots from trying to force the pipe in.

We are very appreciative of any feedback that our customers can and will give us. Thanks for taking the time to give us some thoughts. Sorry I didn't see them until now. That being said, please don't be offended with my responses. My boots are molded to fit per my specs - I got to choose the length I wanted - they are not cut from a roll of hose. There is a reason for the length of the boots.
They are longer for a reason. They seal better grab and hold better by having more pipe to attach to. The factory pipes tend to be a little deformed and bent on the ends. You must trim your insulation back a bit on some trucks. The boots are a little tough to install, but I never had anyone say they were hard, but they do the job. That's more important than how easy they go on to me anyway. If you want them to slip on loose and sloppy like stock boots, and leak like stock boots, then get stock boots. JK but you get the point.

Bob

I like the added length, It gave me room to double clamp hose to both pipes. One on both sides of that flare in the pipes on all 4 ends. These hoses WILL NOT blow off!!! Its great the kit came with new clamps, I was able to use four of my old ones for double clamping.
