Front sway bar disconnect?

Will I get more articulation of the front suspesion if I disconnect the front sway bar for off roading and will I be able to leave it off for on road use? or is this all wrong? advise Please

Yes, you will get more articulation.
On-road handling won't be quite as good with it disconnected, but if you know the limitations of your vehicle, it's no big deal.

My '89 doesn't have a front sway bar, but it handles pretty well for a 6000# truck.
