Well, I made it.
To 70. So I'm officially an old man now. A curmudgeon? An old fuddy duddy? Grumpy old man? Darling Wife probably thought so for the last few days while I waited for the dentist to pull a broken tooth yesterday. How can a simple little tooth hurt so bad? The dentist gave me Tylanol3 (with codine) to help me wait for the appointment for the extration, but it didn't do much good. That's 5 teeth gone now. Before long I'll have to begin thinking about false teeth. I have one partial to replace the first two teeth I lost - right in the middle of the bottom front. And I hate it and don't wear it. So I was already snaggle-toothed. And if plates are as bad as that partial, when I get old I may have to be a gummy - in the shadow of Gabby Hayes. Everyone remembers Gabby Hayes, Right? Sidekick of Roy Rogers or Gene Autry on one of those Hollywood singing "cowboys". Us folks over 70 can't remember very good, so maybe his name wasn't Gabby Hayes?
