i checked the ujoints,replaced the center support bearing.its weird because the truck surges forward
hen clunks,thats why i thought of the converter,like the engine is breaking it free and not stalling.ive been through the whole driveline even checking motor trranny mounts.

It can't possibly be the converter clutch. The clutch released when the truck slowed below about 35 MPH. If it were still engaged when you stopped the engine will stall.

My guess is a bad u-joint. You need to remove the driveshaft to check them. Before removing the driveshaft set the parking brake AND chock the wheels so it can't move forward or backwards.
