Uggghh! Filter exploded
Just a precaution to anyone else out there using whole house water fliters for WMO, the filter cups seem to be the week link in the setup.
I had my regulator set to 55 psi, or at least I thought I did, and was filling the truck. I guess the auto shutoff on the pump nozzle had clicked and so the pressure was just building in the system, I had gotten distracted doing something else in the garage, and boy did it get messy quick. The filter cup blew off and flew across the shop, and an upside down geiser of oil shot out of the filter head for a few seconds until I could get it shut down. I'm moving soon, so I will be redesigning many parts of this system in the new shop, and these filters will be removed from the high pressure side of the system. They are double redundant anyway.
