The fad of rollin’ coal has skyrocketed in the Front Range of CO this summer. I pulled up to one of these brain cell challenged types about 1/4 mile after he spewed atleast 10 cars and he had a GoPro camera mounted to his empty forehead.

Behavior like this in the YouTube vid is going to result in tougher regulations for ALL diesel owners.

They ought to make legislation to throw the guys designing these tunes into jail for minimum 10 year sentences.

"is going to"? How about already has. In California, because of these rolling coal brain cell challenged types, for several years already, all tuners are completely banned, and I have to go to a smog check station once per year to have my truck inspected to make sure that it doesn't have any tuner installed. Still, I have had the windows open on a nice day waiting at a red light, when some rolling coal idiot pulls up next to me and thinks it is really funny to fill my vehicle with black smoke. Ha Ha

👍 I couldn’t agree more ArcticDriver. Don, that’s a shame that it has impacted sensible drivers in California.

In California, smoking marijuana while driving is illegal, and having a tuner that allows rolling coal is also illegal, but there are still those who can't resist trying to get away with both.

Haha.

I must really be getting to be an old man when I start voicing thoughts like:

“These damn kids today!”

Awe grasshopper, you too shall learn as you get older.

My neighbor is a ex Colorado Trouper and there is a kid that goes to the high school across the street from us that drives a Dodge with the 5.9 in it. My neighbor got so tired of this kid that he called a couple of his buddies to sit in his driveway where they couldn't be seen just as school was getting out. Yep, here came that kid with more smoke than a 1800's locomotive. He only got another couple hundred yards before they had him out of his truck with a tow truck on its way. Come to find out he didn't have any insurance or even a drivers license at the time since it had been revoked. The last I saw of that truck was as it disappeared into the sunset on top of the flatbed tow truck with the kid getting a free ride down to the county jail to wait for his parents.

Thank god i haven't seen it here yet. These idiots are giving diesels a bad name. My last 7.3 which was stolen had a hydra installed at purchase and had a tune uploaded called "smoke show". Haven't seen it available on my new one. I'm glad for that.

Rolling coal, eating Tide pods, tying something around your neck and then leaning over for the asphyxia buzz and hoping you'll fall and release the choke. Luckily all of these occur in minor percentages of the youth population.

I am not fond of train horns either. I had a jacked up Ram train horn honk at me at a stop light because I paused to be nice and let a car into traffic. I put in park and got out and looked around. The kid yelled, "what the f--- are you looking for?" I answered, "the train. When you hear a train horn you should be sure you know where it is"
SO much for train horns and any idea that they get people out of your way.

People learn lessons when they nail their horns at me. I have been known to shut my vehicle off, get out and pop the hood and just stand there for a few minutes or at least a couple of light changes just to tick them off.

Glad to hear that kind of thing still works in Colorado and Texas. If you do something like that in California, they take out their gun and shoot you. The only thing you can do here is learn to ignore the idiots.
