DOT weight rating question

Hi all. I currently have my own MCC and operate as a dedicated hotshot. My question is, I would like to upgrade to a medium duty toter truck with a large living area / bath. Etc... my dilemma is as follows. I currently use a ram 2500 with a 10k gvw, the trailer I pull is rated at 13k, I operate below 26000 lbs so no need for a CDL. My current truck is also used as my personal vehicle. I want to stay below CDL requirement weights. The loads I pull are light and I deadhead 50 percent of my mileage on every load. Is there anyway I can upgrade into a medium duty truck and register it properly to stay under the 26k total? Thanks for letting me join your group.
