What is this...Huuuge trailer

Saw this off of I35 near Kansas close to Tonkawa Ok. Lots of oil/gas play in Kay county but there were 20 tandem dual axles on the trailers combined. I know there were 10 on the rear. I have seen some big things going down the road for electrical wind mills, but this thing was Huuuge and heavy. Wish I had Tim to see how they were going to get out of the lot. I think the trailer steering was messing up...

Not that bit a deal, really.

Here are some walrus breeding tanks going over a small mountain pass in Kansas in the last 10 years or so ago:

seen big loads like this being hauled in nevada by "jakes crane" they took stuff to
the mining areas. had cops following to make sure that loads never hit a curb or a law was broken. very expensive hauling process.

I would guess that the original photo from Jay, is a storage silo for possibly fuel. Sure looks like a bulk fuel station off to the side there.

The last photo, from Aldrich, judging from the different level outlets, is a column used in the crude oil refinery business. When the crude is boiled, it separates the different type of fuels that would be produced. Here's an example: World Petroleum Council - How is crude oil turned into finished products? | Education

generically referred to as treater vessels. crude oil comes out of the ground as an oil/water emulsion. the first level of purification is a "breaker" chemical and heat. If the heat was applied in an open vessel the evaporative emissions would be astronomical. Therefore, sealed pressure vessel. definitely NOT a storage tank. On the inside they have various bulkheads, and multiple drains, 1 for water, and 1 for oil, possibly for gases as well
