On my new front hubs there is an o-ring inboard of the hub oil seal, what type grease should I put on it?
I was planning on putting marine bearing grease on the inside of the knuckle before sliding the axle and seal in- would this be alright for the o ring

2002 F350 7.3L / 4R100 - 4WD CC DRW 8’ Box, AIH Delete, Gauges- Pyro, Trans Temp, Boost, Fuel Pressure, TS-6 tuner, Zoodad Mod, Mishimoto 31 row Trans cooler, Mobil 1 ATF, Trans return line ATF filter, Hutch/Harpoon Mod, Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 rear air springs, Rancho 9000 shocks, Timbrens on the front.

High-temperature (disk brake) wheel bearing grease ONLY. NOT marine (which is not rated for disk temperatures).

I just realized I didn’t describe these parts correctly🙄 the large oil seal that is pressed onto the axle shaft gets installed into the knuckle first with the setting tool. I wanted to lube the knuckle first before install. Then once the axle with seal is set properly—the new bearing hub has an o-ring on the outer diameter where it is installed into the knuckle and fastened with the four studs/nuts on backside of the knuckle. A lot of the videos on installing hubs and replacing the needle bearing that rides on the axles recommends using high quality marine bearing grease as it is not affected by water. Would I still use high temp bearing grease for installing the axle/oil seal and on the hub/o-ring before bolting up?

If I recall correctly the o-ring on the hub is to make a seal for the vacuum in using the ESOF to engage the 4wd lock hubs while in Auto.

ESOF is only the pushbutton transfer case.

I start going back together with it tomorrow- I did get the Spicer solid u-joints installed. Smoooooth! I’m not so sure the greasable u-joints that we’re in there didn’t have significant wear—I didn’t realize how stiff they were until I got the new Spicers in.
