I've prob said this before here, but when it happened to me, I only had my main tank boiled out for 2-300, not relined, and that's it. The block filter caught all the flakes (that I know of), but never had an issue with the pump or injectors (that I know of). It also had to run under these conditions 2 different times on its way to the shop to get fixed, shuddering, starving for fuel... this was some time ago, and had no need to spend thousands on repairs, as was mentioned above.
