6.7L turbo leak

Developed a leak recently. I can hear it under light boost can hear it even more when I'm towing. No check engine light and no real loss of power.. I took off the pipe from the intercooler to the center of the engine. that one seemed to loose. I popped the clip removed it cleaned it put it back together and pretty sure I got the clip properly reinstalled. But it made no difference. What pipe should I focus on. should I just replace the one that I've messed with so far because it seemed pretty loose at the plastic end at the engine.

Check the composite material pipe. It is the one that usually develops a problem. This is called the cold side pipe. The hot site rarely ever gives a problem as the stock pipe is made out of metal.

Thank you for the reply. Should I buy another factory one or is there a better aftermarket solution?

If your CAC (cold air tube) is the problem, most everyone that has experienced the CAC (cold air tube) rupture has replaced it with an aftermarket kit. I replaced mine with a Rudy's prior to having issues. You can pay upwards of $400 to as low as $75 for the kits. To me, most of the higher priced kits you are often paying for the name on them such as H&S or Mishimoto. Check eBay, you can get the Rudy's kit or similar for $100 or less. If it says make an offer, make an offer and they might accept.

here is where I installed mine a few years ago now.

That cold side tends to be the bad apple at this point for the 6.7L.
