Tuner/EGR Question

Santa loves me and brought me a tuner for my truck. It can display EGT from 4 different locations, Pre-Turbo, Pre-Cat, Pre-DPF/Post Cat, and Post-DPF. Which location gives me the most important information? I can display all 4 at the same time but I'll lose some other gauges.

Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year, y'all!

I monitor EGT 3 and EGT 4 or is it EGT 13 and EGT 14, pre and post DPF.

Why? I guess only to see when regeneration is occurring.

I'd recommend TIT (Turbo Inlet Temp). These turbos do have a max inlet temp. At 1300*F, the tips of the turbine blades start to glow. Get them too hot for too long and bad things will happen.

I still recommend getting the Government out from under your truck and take all that crap off....but that's just me.
