Its been awhile since I installed mine but I thought the piston rod was neutral and dampened in either direction equally...unlike a shock which wants to extend fully and exert outward pressure.

is the Death Wobble F350 only? Does anyone suffer this on F450?

I have a f350 Tow Boss with the factory installed f450 front end and yes, it has had the death wobble.
