How are the 2012's and what to look for?

Have a line on a 2012 King Ranch F350 with the 6.7 PS. Underneath it looks really good and clean. Only thing I spotted was a wet oil pan(wow, it is small), new front calipers, and the only rust is the driveshaft. I haven't seen the interior, it was on the lift getting it's pre-sales inspection. I just would like to know any caveats to the 2012 PowerStroke and transmission that I should be on the lookout for.

Thanks.

I'd say hold out till they drop the new 2020 HP/TQ numbers. 15-16's will be on the lots in short time making a better buy over a 12-14 truck.

The main purpose of the truck is for hauling an RV. At some point I will be upgrading my current trailer that I tow with my F-150, which is at it's max with what I have, and limits me to 7600GVWR. I am weighing options, go with a SD and a 5th wheel, which looks like 40K or so for the truck(15+), and 50-60K for the trailer, or do I get a Motorhome instead (60-100K). With the MH I can get a hitch for the wife's Focus and tag it with us on trips.

I miss my old 99 Dually with the 7.3 and wish I could replace it. I did come across a 15 Dually for under $30K, has 192K miles on it and already has the 5th wheel installed. Problem is, it is located over 100 miles away.

Have to line up all the pros and cons on this one, especially what can I not do with my F-150 beside tow a heavier trailer that would require the need for the SD, mainly because I am not getting rid of the F-150, I special ordered it with exactly what I want, it's my daily driver, gets 22 MPG, and tows what I currently have just fine. There is the Alpha Wolf trailer that is the same GVWR as my Coleman, but has a higher UVW, which means it will be close to its GVW when ready to travel where the Coleman is well under it ready to travel. We have to take two vehicles when we travel out of state or for a trip over 100 miles because the truck is over GVWR with the family in it. With just me I am just under GVWR, but altogether still well under all GAWR, the truck is just limited by being 2WD to a 6750 GVWR, but has 4050 RGAWR so plenty of axles for what I currently have.

Still waiting to see what price they come up with. They list it for $34,900 on the web, but it is still in the shop and no pictures posted. If they come up with a price of $29K, I think that would be a reasonable offer, I think.

The 2015 DRW would be WELL worth the 100 mile drive for a visual inspection.
