Air intake?

How well does an air intake work on the 6.0's? does a K&N in the stock intake work just the same?

Re: Air intake?

There's not a lot to be had in power, maybe 5-10hp with an open element filter. You do get more turbo noise, which sounds cool.

Re: Air intake?

Not sure if I'm reading your ? correctly....The stock housing is removed and a aftermarket "Housing" along with it's "gauze" type filter is installed in its place. Theres much debate about this subject as far as HP gain and filtration and what not...I try not to dwell into the numbers... I personnally like the "gauze" type filters...I have a Airaid on mine and have run K&N on other rigs. When servicing it I have not noticed any "dusting" beyond the housing....and as siad above...the Turbo wine is much more noticeable..I dont believe that a "Aftermarket" filter can be installed in the OEM housing....
