CHIP AND WARM ROUGH IDLE

I am hopefully buying a new 6.0 soon and I was wondering if any of you have had the warm/hot rough idle problem and if it went away after installing an aftermarket programs. I was wondering if these programs because the change the fuel curve and timing if they were in someway fixing that problem?
