Exhaust back pressure

On my 03 6.0 I have read that it ignores the back pressure sensor and uses an inferred BP. My AE software does not find a pid for BP and that seems reasonable, i guess. But, my edge monitor does have BP available to monitor. So, does the edge display the inferred pressure or does it somehow find the BP from the sensor? Can anybody shed some light on this. I don't know why the AE and Edge aren't finding the same thing? My truck was flashed by the dealer at least twice during my first year of ownership.

The edge has it as a option? Or the edge actually gives you a reading?
Teo totally different things.

The 03 and early 04 engines don't use the EBP sensor (assuming they had the flash update applied that eliminated it). That is why your Edge doesn't report it (and neither will anything else).

That's what I thought too and that is my question. The Edge does report it. The AE does not.
