Engine Misfiring. Please help diagnose.

Hey Guys,

I have a 2000 7.3 with about 125,000 miles. Truck started to have a misfire about a week ago. During that time i had the dreaded oil dipstick pan leak. I drove around for about a day with severely low engine oil levels before i realized that i had a leak. I finally fixed the leak and refilled the oil. Now i have a rough misfire that I cant get rid of. I replaced the fuel filter and added some additive to the fuel tank. My question is can low oil levels cause an injector to go bad? Are these issues related? Here are my codes.

P1316- Injector Driver Module Codes Detected
P0603- Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory Error
P0263- Cylinder 1 Contribution.Balance Fault

I want to narrow it down before I buy a new cylinder 1 injector. Thanks for your help!!

Low oil won't kill an injector, but you may have introduced some air into the oil rail causing the rough idle. The codes you have, though, aren't related to an oil issue. The P1316 indicates IDM codes are stored. You have to run an injector buzz test to reveal the codes. These are electric codes - like shorts or open connections. You need to get to the bottom of this before you start pulling injectors. After the buzz test, clear the codes and see what comes back.
