Need know which direction the lever for water fuel separator i changed it but didnt pay attention to way it came off also the two holes pin hole and another hole im trying find pics but no luck please help

It only goes in one way. The lever lays against the filter housing when closed.

Did you disassemble the entire valve?

Here's a set of photos for a 94-97 fuel drain valve. The 99-03 7.3L drain valves are the same except they have 4 mounting screws instead of 2.TheDieselStop.Com Photo Hosting - 94-97 Fuel Drain Valve

Just took off the old fuel water separator valve with brown or yellow lever

So it goes side ways to fuel filter housing not pointing straight to turbo

Closed position is pointing toward the driver's side, and open is pointing toward the turbo.

Im rebuilding a f250 7.3 4x4 truck was wrecked also trying to source parts im not out of water yet because i got codes from check engine light put a new cps from ford on it but still have codes

Open is for draining fuel bowl when replacing fuel filter or maintenance type flushing.

Closed is for the rest of the time.

Codes cleared now still check engine light on due to low voltage on alt would that cause light go on again ?

If the alternator is over charging or under charging it should set the battery light off. Letting you know there is a problem.
