What preventative maintenance at 240K miles shouldnI do?

My truck is a 2000 F350 with 7.3 and 4wd. I want to make sure it is reliable for trips where I am towing. I have a fresh rebuilt transmission. The engine is mostly original. What should I look into replacing so I'm not left stranded? Currently I'm broke down with what I think is a bad cam position sensor and this has me thinking. Thanks!

2000 F-350 Lariat,Crew Cab,PSD,4WD,Short Bed, 118K miles, DP-Tuner 3 pos. chip(stock, 40HP Tow, 80 HP Econo). GOS headlight harness, Diode soldered in to allow low beams on with highs.

Thumbs up PM

Without knowing what you have ever done o e would have to assume nothing has been done. I doubt this is the case if you are aware enough to even know about a CPS.

Flush and change your coolant
Change your hoses, upper lower and heater hoses
Replace your engine coolant thermostat
Check your serpentine belt tensioner and its idler pulley
Clean up and or replace the exhaust pressure sensor and it's connecting tube
Replace the serpentine belt
Replace your ICP sensor
Replace your IPR
Replace your HPOP O-rings.
Check your turbo rotor for leading edge wear and or bearing slop
Drop the fuel tank and clean it out
Drain your fuel filter assembly, clean it out good and change the filter.
Add a larger than stock transmission cooler
Get some of the common relays in the fuse box for glove box spares
Lubricate the 4WD hubs spindle bearings, consider replacing the entire unitized hubs with your mileage.
Inspect your brakes and brake rotors
Lubricate the loaded brake assembly slide pins
Inspect the brake hoses
Flush, your brake fluid and replace it with new.
Change your transfer case fluid
Check the engine coolant reservoir for cracks
Replace the brake pedal brake light cruise control cut off switch
Replace the secondary brake and cruise control switch on the brake master cylinder
Check and replace as required all turbo and intercooler flex hose connections
Check for rear differential pinion wear and or seal leak
Drop the differential covers and clean it out, replace the gear oil.
Replace the steering damper

That should keep you busy all afternoon
