3" Spring Hanger Lift...

I was thinking about buying a 3 inch hanger lift for my truck to give it a little more height. Was wondering what advice y'all had for me about it (bad idea, good idea). I've already got a 2.5 inchg leveling kit and i'm fitting 35X12.50's easily and could go bigger. If I do get this kit, what size tires would I be able to run? Thanks y'all.

1999 F-250 7.3L, 6-SPD, Bully Dog 4 Bank Chip with flip chip, 4" Exhaust from the Turbo Back, New superduty led mirrors, 5% tinted windows, 2.5" leveling kit, 3 Inch Hanger lift, 325/80R16 Dick Cepek Fun County IIs, Ford Factory fog lights, Front custom light bar, 4 KC Lights 150W, Diamond plate around tow hooks, diamond plate bed rails, reverse lights, new headlight assembly, strobes, diamond clear LED third brake light.

Re: 3" Spring Hanger Lift...

I'm not sure how you run 315's w/ a 2.5" lift on the front, do you ever rub on turning into a curb or incline? I'm running a 6" lift and 315 BFG's(on 16"x10" wheels) and I can rub the S/S mudflaps once in a while.
According to some lift charts/tire fit guides, I should be able to run 37' tires w/ a 6" kit.
I'd say it depends on your rim/tire combo more than anything. Stock rims have a short backspace that is helpful, but are too narrow to effectively use 315's. 315's are intended for a minimum 8" rim. Although MANY people do it anyway. I ran 16"x8" rims with 285's for a short while, they had a shorter backspace than the 16"x10" wheels and would probably do good with fitting 315's under your truck w/o rubbing.
You might try 37's, but I think it'll rub if you use your truck for anything but highway flats.

Hope this helps a little.......
