The mount is $799. Then the compressor is $399.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's completely insane. $800 for a mount?

The York high volume compressor can be bought remanned and warranted from Advance Auto or Auto Zone for under $100.

Re: air compressor on 7.3 for onboard air.

800 includes more than just a mounting bracket, mine is on the way later this month i'll take pictures of the kit and after it's put on the truck. i would rather have a york compressor but i don't want to spend the time to hunt down the parts and the right belt, change hose on the cooling system.

Re: air compressor on 7.3 for onboard air.

I have fitted a Sanden 506 compressor in the space where the cover was on the top of the motor.Spliced a A section pulley on the front of the crank. Put approx an egg cup of high quality grease into the compressor after empting out the oil.Have photo but havent worked out how to post them. The grease lubes the compressor without it working into the airline.

Hey Budman, where Did you get the compressor Clutch? Did you use the longer 7.3L 2 Alt. belt? Did you add a 2nd idler pully? and where did you get that?

I had a Electric pump on my truck for too long, I got sick of it, so Im getting parts together for a converted A/C pump as well...

Thanks
