DEEP TRANSMISSION PAN

I just bought a deep mag hytec transmission pan for my truck, says it is 7 1/2 more quarts, instruction say to use a filter for a 4x4 truck, mine is a 2wd truck. is the filter on a 4x4 have a extension on it to set in the pan further? i do not see the difference.

Re: DEEP TRANSMISSION PAN

4x4 pan is deeper than the 2x4 pan, so yes the filter is longer.

Re: DEEP TRANSMISSION PAN

Well that sure is funny, I have changed out several 2 wheel drive Trannys and they have all been the same. Care to let us know what years these are you are talking about? Maybe its a year specific thing.
