Turbo to X-pipe o-ring?

Got an easy question...

I just installed a 38R turbo the other day. I was reading the directions and noticed it said to reuse the o-ring mentioned in the title. The only problem is that I didn't have one, or it came off in the parts washer and I never saw it. After looking around for part numbers, it appears that only the '94-early '99 trucks had this part... can someone confirm this (or debunk this)? I really didn't want to track one down at the dealership if it wasn't needed.

My other assumption, is that it appears to have no boost leaks right now. I am getting about 22lbs of boost with the WG red tube connected, and about 26lbs with the same red line disconnected and plugged. Plus, the EGT's seem normal, and the 38r really appears to have cleaned up the black smoke on my DP +120 setting.

Thanks!

It sounded right that there was one, just thrown off by the 94-99 next to most of the part numbers I found. That, and everything seemingly normal with regards to boost leaks.

Maybe I'll gain a little power and lower some EGT's? Thanks for the reply.

Here's the part number for my 2000 7.3 in case anyone comes across this searching. Ford: F81Z-9E436-AA and it was $8 and change at my local dealership. It's listed as a "gasket" on the plastic parts bag, even though it's simply a rubber o-ring.

Also, for the record, it made a little more boost with it in there, but not a whole lot more. It does appear to have brought back a lot of the black smoke, which makes me wonder why it was so clean without the o-ring.

Have you tried the diesel o-rings site? The guy seems to sell any o-ring you could need for our trucks. Here, go here. I don't see it on his site, maybe give him a call?
