Likewise, I've got a Tundra for a daily driver and they stay on until turned off. Adjustable temp also. The seat warms up faster than the heater warms the truck interior.

Heavy truck and diesel mechanic (thankfully retired after 30+ yrs)

My 01 heated seats stay on for a while then go off. It is longer than 5 minutes though. I turn them on when I start the truck. 20 minutes later, when I get in they are off. This is normal.
