'2011 Seatbelts in a '2002 F350

So I am installing seatbelts out of a 2011 into my crewcab so that all 6 seats have shoulder harnesses. So far I have purchased a jump seat out of a newer truck and replaced the front. Now I have purchased the seat belt and brackets to put on the rear of the cab so the center will have a shoulder belt. I am waiting on the trim and the lower bracket that I had to order. Once I get the last pieces I will post the install and part numbers from .

Debating if I should just cut this off the reinforcement and weld it into the cab, Or remove the back of the cab ond weld in the entire piece.

I think I would save more rigidity in the cab structure if I just weld on the small part of the bracket that I need and then reinforce it.

I started to do this a few years ago but the parts weren't available from Ford. I have tried to find a wreck off and on. I am glad that you have started this. Keep us updated on the progress and parts list. I am going to start ordering tonight.

I got kinda lucky on the main bracket. They actually had it instock at the local dealer and wanted it gone before inventory. So I got it at half price.

Parts list cont...

BC3Z-25601B32-AC TRIM COVER
BC3Z-2660045-AA SEAT BELT ASS. ( This piece is needed because the end of the retractor does not bolt to the floor. Instead it latches so you can undo it on newer trucks to tilt the seat forward.)

Thumbs up jump seat question for you...

Hey, I am really glad your rear shoulder belt turned out so well. It looks great.
I would like some more info on the replaced jump seat with the shoulder belt. From what I am gathering, all you had to do was purchase a seat for a 2011 truck... did it mount without any modification or did you have to do anything to it? I really need to get one installed in my truck, since we just had another child, requiring us to put our oldest up front, but I am concerned about the lap belt.
Please share with me more details on what you had to do to get the front jump seat installed.
Thanks
Chadrack-

Everything bolted right in like the original on the back bolts. It fits the same, except I had to drill two 1/2 " holes for the front two bolts because they don't use the same front bolts as the driver and passenger seats like my '02. I can take a pic tomorrow. I sure like it.

WIN!!!

Thank you for the write-up...now time to dig a little deeper in your post and start ordering/fabricating parts.

I plan to do the swap ONLY for the rear center - I will rarely use the front center belt/seat.

Alright - I'm still pretty excited about your write-up and the parts list which seems to be comprehensive...HOWEVER...after brief searching the parts total added up to ~$380. That is just for the parts you listed to modify the back seat - does that price sound right?

I'm thinking a salvage yard may be the place to go...I love a walk through a good salvage yard and I would bet that I can get all the parts for under $100 (I'm cheap...that's a lotta savings). A drill, chisel, hammer (or better yet a grinder w/cut-off wheel), and screwdriver/socket set should be about all it takes to get the whole sha-bang!

The issue will be finding a totaled truck in the salvage yard.

Yes the parts add up. But when I did this there weren't too many wrecked 2011-2012's around. Now you might have better luck. I think you can go as far back as '08 for the rear center seat belt. I went new also due to the ease of getting the right color.

reviving an old thread! This is EXACTLY what I was looking in doing. THANK YOU for posting this!

With three kids and no lap belt. We dont get to take the truck many places, and when we do the kids fight because they don't want to sit "in the babby seat in the middle."
