I have not had any luck finding a picture of the rear axle shock mounts that are bent like this. They are pretty much the same between the two.
I have a right rear spring sag of about 3/4" from the left so I will be replacing the spring packs with 4400# units because this truck has had a Lance camper on it all its life. The shocks are new as are the sway bar end links.
Anyone have shock mounts like this?
Thanks! I would appreciate it a lot! I noticed it during a shock and sway bar endlink change. I have a right rear sag that I think is a weak spring issue.
Since they're symmetrical, I'd say they were fabricated like that. Looks like the offset from the axle mounting point is toward the wheel on each side. Not sure why they would have fabbed them like that, but there must have been some reason.
BTW, your photo links are kind of strange. You can post photos directly from your computer, and they should show up without having to right-click and select "view image". I see that yours are a dropbox link. If you delete them, they'll go away here, but photos uploaded here from your computer will be permanent (well --- relatively.)
The picture links are broken but my 2006 and 2015 duallies have the brackets curved a little so they look bent. My 2005 F450 has different brackets but they are offset a little too.
I think it is a Firefox browser issue. I opened in another browser and the broken link icons weren't there and pics opened. Those photos are exactly what the 06 and the 15 have on their Dana 80 housings.

Both left and right rear lower shock mounts have a pretty symmetrical curve in them. So for the spots all over everything just made some repairs and clearly had a leak prior!

I have 2002 F350 4dr Longbed DRW w/ only 117k miles on it and my mounts look that. I’ve been thinking that mine are bent and talked with some friends. They think it’s fine and say the shocks should bend ir break before the mount. If you look up replacement mounts. They have no curve in them. So….. are they suppose to be bent or not. Idk or have a good answer yet
