turbo pedestal

the ebp actuator located in the pedestal sometimes leak saw a video on youtube were the guy completely remove this what exactly is the actuator for or what is its primary function and is it a good idea to do this i be tearing of the turbo and replacing all those warn out o rings.oh they did somwething to the ebp valve too. i can stand oil leaks

It's hook to a sensor at the end of a tube on the exaust manifold. It closes a butterfly in the exaust just behind the turbo at a certain temp to help warm the motor up faster.
