busted, missing leaf springs rear end

Hey all,

Both rear axle leaf springs are missing half a section plus a section is bent downward toward the missing section. What are my options for repair? Is install of air suspension something to consider?

Thanks,

Mike

Broken leafs are fairly common. Most DOT's require at least 75% of the leafs to be unbroken. Look in the yellow pages of the nearest big town/city phone book under "Springs, Automotive Sales & Service" and give several of the listings a call. They'll have replacement stock spring packs in stock or can tailor custom made springs to Your requirements. For an additional fee of course.

Going to a full air ride rear suspension would be WAY more $$$$$$. Would ride much better but probably not worth the expense.

Should I get a pair of Super Duty leaf springs? If so, what year?

Where do I get install procedures? Any idea how long to swap out?

Options..find some stockers locally or I have a pair. Best thing to do IMO is get 99-07 SD rear springs..drill bolt shackels out and install in less than 2 hours easy.
