Considering buying a '97 Powerstroke, what do I need to look for?

Found a killer deal on a '97 F350 dually. The 6.9 is starting to get tired, I have to replace head gaskets this weekend.

I'd like to know what to look for in a 94-97 Powerstroke when I go shopping for one.

Are there specific areas on the engine I should be wary of? I know of the HPOP and CPS, but haven't had the opportunity to work on one of these engines yet.

Thanks for your input.
