Hello! So I have a 97 F350 I purchased to find out later it had a melted piston on #5. So I found a very low mileage engine from an E350. I switched my original mounts over to the new engine and it still won’t line up correctly in the pillar. When the drivers side is sitting good the passenger side is in but about an 1” or so from the original location. Are the actual brackets that mount to the block for the mounts maybe a little different also? Thanks
If you change the mounts, put your f 350 one on the van engine it should work. Sometimes it takes a little bit to get the mounts to settle down where they belong. One thing should of done is set both motors side be side and change anything that was different. There is not any difference in the blocks, just hardware that bolts on.
