Launching?

What is the best way to launch a 5 speed 7.3L not going through the water?

1999 F250 Lariat, 4X4 extended cab short bed, 6 pos ts chip, 6in homemade straight pipe, k&n filter

94.5 F250 6 pos ts chip, 4 in straight exhaust into flat black 6 in stacks, cone air filter,3in downpipe,beans stage 1's-sold

In four wheel drive , Don't know actually, I'm too afraid our weak link u-joints and yokes will leave my driveshaft on the tarmac to try to launch very hard....

Never tried at the strip but, 2nd gear with 4.10's is too low, try 3rd gear sliped out at 2k rpms ?
Just a guess, I'd like to know too
