low pressure oil pump

Does anyone know how to test the low pressure oil pump on a 95 7.3? I'm having a problem when it is cold, the high pressure reservoir seems to be loosing oil, but it seems to be lack of incoming oil, and not a leak. Any ideas?

Hmmm...

To the best of my knowledge the only way to test is to pull a galley plug and hook up a pressure gauge. It should have between 10 - 40 PSI according to my manual. If not then you have to pull the pump and check its clearances.

97 F-350 XLT 4x4 in pieces all over my garage floor. Imagine that!
