Now What?

Ok so I was in the process of removing the IPR, I decided to removal the FPR think that is what it was. Anyways i manged to break the plastic piece that has the screen on the end of it. The other awsome thing that happened is the connector for the IPR is melted on the side the wires go into. my question is what do I need to fix the FPR and where would i get a new connector for the IPR.

I don't Know about the FPR plastic deal but you can replace the IPR connector with a UVC harness connector ( The part that clips to the injector) . they are the same . . .

thanks for the help I think I found the part for the FPR problem. Orifice Vent Kit", Ford # F5TZ-9A214A

Filter bleed vent screen, 0.035 orifice, check ball and O-Ring pictures from cars photos on webshots

Is there a pigtail harness I can buy or do I have to buy a UVH an remove one of the connectors.

I think you can buy the pigtail somewhere. If you do buy a UVC harness I would remove one of yours and cannibilize it rather than a new one . . . I have a few used UVc's here but it would take a week or so to get it to you . You could try a local Diesel shop or International .

Installed new IPR now getting DTC P1283 when running KOEO. I had to replace the IPR connector. When cranking only get 208 psi was only getting around 160 before replacing IPR. Thinking I might have wired the new connector in wrong and if so would it work that way?

You should be getting at least 500 before it will start. Did you tighten the cheap metal nut on the back of the ipr ? Also did you fill up the HPOP resevoir with fresh oil ? And is your oil level where it should be ?

i got it running all is good now one of the wires from the connector had come loose. Thanks for the help
