Parking Brake Sticking

I have had problems with my parking brake sticking and it finaly jammed up over the weekend. When I pulled the drums off, I noticed that the arm that parking brake cable is attached to was caught up on the cable for the self adjuster. After prying the parking brakes loose, i noticed that there was alot of play between the arm and the pivot. Is this a common problem that can happen with these brakes? Is it just a matter of changing the arm and the pivot or are there other parts i'm going to need to change?
