Powertran Control Module (PCM)

I have a 1997 F350 Powerstroke which won't go into overdrive. Transmission was rebuilt 3 months ago and the Tranny guy said there were not codes on the computer so it had to be electrical. Took it to the dealer and they said the PCM was bad. Can someone tell me where to find the PCM and what it looks like? Someone told me it was under the dash but I have not been able to find any documentation to tell or show me where.

Thanks

Re: Powertran Control Module (PCM)

It is behind the e-brake and is removed from under the hood. It is closest to the fender and sticking out of the firewall. You will need to take the inner fender loose right in the PCM area to get it out.
