Exclamation What is going on? Need truck repair suggestions

I was driving my 96 7.3 when it started to cut out (like it wasnt getting any fuel) and it died coming up my hill. I had pulled off and cranked and cranked and cranked on it till she started, and i managed to get it to the shop before she died again, i changed my fuel filter (the old one was pretty bad) but the truck still does not run like it should. it has a very rough idel and feels a lack of power. it has unburnt fuel coming out of the exhaust. So I checked the HPOP and the oil has bubbles in it...im not sure if that is normal or not. it acts like injector(s) are not working as they should. any suggestions as to where i should start? what should i look for? it would be nice to get it up and running, Prom is tomorrow lol

What type of oil are you running and when was the last oil change? Did you try switching tanks and how much fuel do you have in the tanks? You may also want to check the fuel pressure on the filter housing
