'1992 F350 7.3L IDI na Voltage Regular Failure.

I have 1992 F350 Crew Cab 4x4 XLT with just a hair over 336000 miles. I've been having a charging system issues. Back in Feb I replaced both batteries. About later the voltage regulator went out. I replaced it with BWD Select from O'Reilly. Shortly after that the alt went. I put a reman from O'Reilly. Since then I've had a overcharging issue and then a no charge issue. Took it an alt repair place and was told the was bad. Went got a replacement for it. After that no issues for about a month or 2. Then ended up with it not charging again. Took her back alt place, and said regulator this time. I replaced, and went through all the wiring and such couldn't find anything wrong with that. About a week ago it started over charging. I didn't get chance to mess with do to a injury. Today I put a new regulator in it. Go about 5 miles down the road and starts over charging again. Now I moved the mounting spot for the regulator. It does have a ground. At this point I don't know what to do besides taking it to a shop. I want to avoid it but I figured is ask here first. This is what it looks like going down the road as soon as left up on the petal it goes back to normal.

We're not going to be much help without more & more-specific info from you. All the truck's details need to be in your signature so we can review them with each of your posts. Click this & read the caption:

Pics of the alt, VR, & wiring would be good, too:

Does this look like how your truck is wired?

You haven't said exactly how you're determining when it's overcharging, when it's not charging, how you diagnosed each part as failing each time, and the brand/PN/source for each replacement each time.

These captions explain some common problems that CAN result in the symptoms you've described:

I went through the same process with the '89 that I had. I finally bit the bullet, and replaced both alt. and regulator at the same time...no more trouble. It seems that one would take the other out, and by the time I found it and changed the bad component, the new one had started its demise.
