E4OD acting up

I am trying out a 93 f350 with an idi and auto. It has been sitting for a while (9k mi in 7 years). It needs a tranny service. Today on the way home, the speedometer started acting up. Few miles later, the transmission couldn't figure out what gear it wanted to be in.

Few other observations:
Tach is in-op up to about 1000rpm, but only if you have your foot on the pedal. Take your foot off at any speed and the tach drops to 0.

Speedometer started acting up just today.

I don't know much about the electronics in the Fords, so I'm not sure where to start. I would be happy to do a Google search if I had any abilities, but I could enter "the diesel stop" in the search bar and it'd take to Page 3 to get this site

Talked to a few local shops. Replaced the tach sender and speed sensor and 90% of the issues are gone. I'm confident a tranny service will take care of the rest. Thanks
