'2017 Deletes

Hi. new to the forum and Ford. previous Cummins guy. Just got a 17 F350 Lariat Long Box. I am wanting to do a DPF Delete on the truck. Right now looking into the EZ Lynk with 4" down pipe back with muffler exhaust. My question is, do i NEED to get the egr delete kit, or can i unplug it and leave in place like i did on my cummins?
is EZ Lynk the way to go?
I understand the warranty void and so forth. still going to do a delete.

well after much research it does not appear many guys have done a delete to a 2017. I ended up calling the company i am looking to order from and they assure me you do NOT need an egr delete kit. EZ Lynk turns it off. you only need the EZ Lynk and the exhaust for a delete.

The "deletes" are out there with tuning devices but with no added power. Some are using the in-line modules for added power/mpgs. Now if you wait patiently, the tuning pros are going to be dropping something nice for power tuning devices in the near future.

be careful deleting the EGR, it hakes the turbo run hotter. I am all for the DEF but I think I would keep the EGR engines have come a long from when I had my 6.0.

Yes, my cousin is a ASe certified mechanic and said he recently went to a class that showed them that they can now track any modifications to the ECU's, even if you put the settings back to stock.

yes, from what I understand the ECU stores history and you can't delete it.

does anyone know anything about the inline modules that do not go detected? are they worth the money? Heard good things about them in the past but havent talked to anyone that has one on the 17.

Actually there are hidden wireless cameras in the hoods of diesel trucks. But I didn't tell you that.
