Skunk Smell?

For the past one or two days, there has been a rotten skunk smell in my car. While I was driving I passed a skunk which I'm assuming was just recently killed. The skunk smell from my car was only there for a few minutes, but I noticed this morning when I got into my car to start it, it smelled like skunk. The car hadn't even been running. Same thing this afternoon when I got into it. I don't know how that happened, or what to do?

Year and model of truck will help lots.

My first guess is that you need to change out the cabin air filter, that is if your vehicle has one.

Do you smell it just walking around the vehicle? If you do you may of picked up parts of the critter and are carrying it around with you.

Wash it inside & out, and spray Lysol into the HVAC intake while it's running full-blast. That will remove & mask most of the odors, but if it's residual skunk, you'll just have to wait for it to dissipate.
