Truck pulling tips.....

I am more than likely going to enter my truck in a small time truck pulling event in a nearby small town next month. They use what looks to be a very hi-tech sled with all the trimmings,(not sure of the weight, looks big and heavy) Im looking for suggestions on how to start out- 1st gear/4-lo, 2nd gear/4-lo, 1st gear/4-hi, ect... You only get to pull one time and thats it, and I really dont want to emberass myself or powerstroke owners across the nation. Also with 36" parnelli jones dirt grips (50% tread ) what air pressure for the event? Thanks guys, read my sig for truck specs for more accurate suggestions.

EARLY 99 crewcab shortbed- 6" superlift, 35" BFG muds, 16x10 MT classic locks, red with black flame graphics, 2002 computer, DI 6 position chip, 4" to 5" exhaust-no muffler, home made Tymar intake, home made CCV mod, tank and pre-pump mods, HX crossover hose, full guage pod, Monster Box tranny, Alpine mids-subs-amps-in dash monitor-equilizer. Thats it......so far.

Not rookies, but you have to beat one of us to be the top-guess that leaves Mech2161 as a top puller as well....
